I remember just before Moyes was sacked he said he and his team aspired to be like City. That completely destroyed his credibility in the eyes of the fans and the board. Basically he's just admitted his team was inferior not just in one match but over a longer term. He was a goner. Once Mourinho said his team was inferior to Liverpool's he's signed his sacking warrant and his massive "compo".
