Due to being an iconic moment in TV history

...look, it was that or the time Josh Fashanu ripped his leotard in the crotch on national TV

One gig I was at 15+ years ago, there was another contractor
whose cubicle was next to an employee whose name was Dave.
As he got in earlier than the guy, as soon as he heard Dave sit
down at his desk he would play a "Hello Dave" audio clip he had found.

    RIP Ian Lavender <rose>
An exceptional, if understated comedic talent.
The Platoon are now completely reformed and on guard upstairs!!

Very sad news. And 77 isn't old. Gives me an excuse to include this other Pike clip.

The comment is made by Rick Wakeman.

Well now you've given me an excuse to mention I'm a distant relative of Philip Madoc...

While channel surfing years back I caught a welsh language programme and was surprised to see Philip Madoc in it speaking fluent welsh. Is that one of your attributes too?

I think it was brilliant, but not unexpected that Rick Wakeman came up with the line. However sitting next to him was Tim Vine, and I would imagine it's very difficult to beat him to a one liner. And while HBIC mentioned that he is distantly related to Philip Madoc, can I say perhaps even more obscurely that I was once "interviewed" by Tim Vine on his chat show on Radio 4. He really is that quick, and I loved that show which really was completely improvised (well the interview parts anyway).
