Back in the day at a garage I worked in , a customer had a number of Fast Fords , my favourites to work on and the essential road tests were a tuned Escort MK1 Lotus twin cam , a MK 2 Lotus Cortina and a Jeff Uren Mk 2 Cortina V6 Savage which was fun to drive on a wet road

I begged him to sell me the MK 2 although I had no money, he called his cars his pension , along with the Fords he had an Aston DB 5 and 6 , a beautiful Bentley S2 Continental in dark metallic blue and a rough but original AC Shelby Cobra , 4or 5 yanks plus some Italian exotica, all stashed away on a farm near radlett
