You can't be serious? The Guardian are not keen on Corbyn. They are, of course, on the left, but they are very much on the liberal/centrist side rather than the illiberal/far left side (didn't the Observer even support the LibDems or am I imagining that?) Their best comparison is The Times. The Daily Mail comparison is probably closest to the Daily Mirror (although I'd say the counterpoint to the Mirror is more the Telegraph).
I am being serious though. Historically it has always been viewed as centrist or liberal, not leftist. It has only moved towards the left since Brown to be honest and when Corbyn got elected has made it quite clear that it is not of that ilk. I appreciate to anyone who is a frothy-mouthed swivel-eyed right winger such as your-good-self , if a person is anywhere further on the left of the political spectrum than Generalissimo Franco they are a dangerous communist, but there is in fact significant nuance across the political spectrum...
Even the Morning Star is too centrist for Corbyn and his ilk! Unfortunately we have entered a time warp and we are now back to 1974. The only big difference being that the miners have been wiped out but they have been replaced by militant rail unions. Southern offered the train drivers a whopping 25% pay rise which would have taken their salaries to £75k a year and yet they refused it and are now on an overtime ban! You couldn't really make it up! So much for nationalising the railways the Government would never be able to afford it.
Not good is it, not really Brexit related in my opinion either. This is for me the product of two things. The global market means that producing anything but the most cutting edge is now impossible to do so profitably. With that in mind our governments have continued with short term plans to get in power by placating their voter base and contributors. These plans do little to address how we can build a skills base for the modern world. The constant buying in of things like power generation or stadium building or even medical staff erodes our skills, wages and personnal chances at career development. Bah!
Can't disagree with this, but I am confident that this is Tory related. Their policies over the last seven years have strangled this country and pushed it to the brink.
