I started seeing some heat on the Adebayor rumour and my heart just sank. He's among the most true-to-form Harry signings left out there. Mind you, all the talk from Les Ferdinand and Tony Fernandes might suggest they might not be that keen on letting Harry's predilections for players past their prime and over-priced drive the transfer-window activity, which would definitely mean no Ade. Let's hope.
Hi Beth, I believe he was at ACON, Started the first game against Cameroon and played the full 90', Scored a goal in the 2nd game and came off after 78' against Ivory Coast and came on as a 2nd half sub for the last 18 mins against Guinea. A very useful addition to our squad if it comes off. Posted in the other thread as well so apologies....
I see Liverpool are after Ings. Would have loved to see him paired with Charlie. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31054584
I see that - everyone else seems to be making deals except us (other than selling Mutch), unless that is part of his strategy, with all to be revealed come deadline day? QPR "not close" to making new signings - Harry Redknapp please log in to view this image QPR are "not close" to any signings before the transfer window closes on Monday, says boss Harry Redknapp. Rangers sold striker Jordon Mutch to Crystal Palace on Wednesday but had a bid for Wolves forward Bakary Sako turned down. Redknapp said: "We want a couple of loans - if we can find them. We're not close, though, on anyone." He has ruled out releasing midfielder Leroy Fer and wingers Junior Hoilett and Matt Phillips. Redknapp added: "I would rather Junior and Matty stay here. Les Ferdinand [head of football operations] said there has been some interest in Junior from a German club. But we're not overloaded with players and we're looking to strengthen not weaken." On attempts to sign Sako, he said: "We made an enquiry and that's as far as it went. Les spoke to the people there - it's not gone any further." He also has ruled out moves for Blackburn striker Rudy Gestede, Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M'Vila, Tottenham front man Emmanuel Adebayor and striker Dani Osvaldo, currently on loan at Inter Milan from Southampton. "You can sit and talk about players all day, but you need to get them over the line. We're nowhere near yet." http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/31057892 Transfer deals - January 2015 The January transfer window opened in England, Scotland and Wales on Saturday, 3 January and will close again on Monday, 2 February at 23:00 GMT. Busiest Premier League club: Swansea City and Crystal Palace have both signed three players so far. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/transfers/
Strange how Harry changes his tune regarding Hoilett and Philips after Fernandes states this morning that Philips is going nowhere. I hope Harry has been told to stop whingeing and get on with keeping the club up with the current resources at his disposal. They should be good enough after all, they are largely his team.
