It is give them both significant Premier League pay rises. However we'd be foolish not to reset any sell on/release clauses to appropriate levels.

Watching the england Belgium game i was very impressed with Dembeles performance
.If he is making a spurs exit this summer would love to see him at he cottage.
    Additions
    Krull, Vorm
    Metro, Cavaleiro,
    Taggert, Bryan,
A good solid Centre half and lasr seasons lonees COST ~ 70 / 80 mil ?
We then may be contenders and not also runs.

Hmmm. Think our expectations are set differently from yours. I'd be delighted with 17th.
Happy with our squad though. If we can get grujic back again we'll have the bulk of last season's squad on board again with a keeper, left back, left wing and striker already added to strengthen that.
    How's your recruitment drive going?
5 weeks til the window shuts.

There are plenty of us who would be happy with 17th, especially as we've not actually signed anyone yet!

Surprised you've made no signings. Seems to be lots of noise and posturing, including from your manager.
My concern in your position would be the need to replace a number of players that got you promoted.
We've retained all the key players that got us up and added 4 more, so very happy with that.

The 'noise' is all from the media rs. And, our byword is that, “Patience is a conquering virtue.”

Have to say though, your 4 newbies are top Championship boys and sit well with Colin's strategy - 'get them in early and make sure you can retain a team to make a strong challenge in the Championship next year'.

Fulham don't tend to announce new players till the July when contracts start and our infamous medicals take place, the same time that we start the first day of pre-season training. How much we have been effected by being a late arrival to qualify for the Premier not sure.
So expect the first few players will be announced next week.

Wasn't quite a conquering virtue last season. Two teams finished above you.
At this stage I think I'd be happier where we are than where you are.
A hole in your promotion squad before you start to strengthen.
Hungry young British players rather than overseas players.
    Comfortable with that.
Fortunately for your boys the season doesn't start for 6 weeks. We're about good to go now.

We're reported as having upped the bid to £14m.

I'm expecting to hear of transfers in today to kick start the season.
Especially if we've been chasing some of our loans from last season.

A piece of paper gossip picked up this morning says we are in the ace to sign the French
c/f Plea, figure quoted £24mil, bit out of our comfort zone surely.

I think that's the kind of amount we're going to have to spend to get a quality striker, to be honest - it's around the mark that Newcastle are said to be asking for Mitrovic. Looking at last season's newly promoted teams, I think we need to expect to spend somewhere in the region of £60M this summer. And, as our friend the Cardiff fan has pointed out, frustratingly for us some of that is going to go on players that were already part of the team that won promotion. We're going to have to spend, so let's make sure that we spend the money on players that Slavi actually wants this time!

    The figures are eye watering.

There have been a number of 8 digit deals done by championship clubs with Forrest having signed a striker for £15M and Leeds closing in on a £11M deal for Vydra.

The Telegraph set the ball rolling and it's been picked up all over the place - except the Club site which has been unusually quiet with nary a story of any kind all day. Anyway, the gist of the flurry of reports is that a deal has been agreed with Newcastle for Alexsandar Mitrovic. Said to be £20m and the only issue is how the payments will be made.

According to many reports the signing of Mitrovic should happen this week,
for me, ok as long as its not above 20m.
Plea would be a good alternative but would possibly cost more
.Other positions we need to address is a full back as it appears Targett is staying put,
( BRYAN) from Bristol ? and maybe the continued pursuit of CAVALEIRO

I agree with all three of those, Rosc. I could live with paying more for Mitro, but £20M seems a fair price for both clubs. As I understand it (from my eldest, so his sources may not be reliable!), Newcastle are keen to do a deal with us quickly now - they are also interested in Plea, so us signing Mitro not only gives them funds for him, it also means that we are unlikely to go for Plea, thus taking a rival bidder out of the running. Let's hope that's the case and we get some good Mitro news very soon.

As for Cavaleiro, he certainly sounds like a good fit for us, though I suspect the only way Wolves agree to sell is if they see him as a fringe/back player this season, with a newer, bigger signing earmarked for his position. They certainly seem to be buying ambitiously, so that might be the case, but if he's likely to play a big part for them, I don't think it matters how much money we offer them.
