James Beattie and Sir Richard of Lambertshire weren't too shabby either, we were pretty spoiled for penalty takers. Ah ****, just seen that Libs beat me too it...
If game depended on a penalty to be scored then I would pick Le Tiss - he was also good at free kicks as well. One of the most underrated midfielders ever, had sublime skills, could score wonder goals out of nowhere. 48/49 is near perfection.
Dont hate Kane, I think he is good, but the poll asked for the greatest ever, which Kane isn’t. oh and STFU
He's been penalty taker for most of the 16 seasons he's played for us. 2 of those misses came early in his career, so he's only missed 2 this decade.
nothing to do with hate, both Le Tiss & Noble have taken more and have a higher success percentage. As only Noble is the only one still playing the trophy is his. please log in to view this image
Shearer could take a pen .... i dont think ove ever seen someone as good with his head and his feet when it comes to finishing ..
If he'd put in some effort he would've been one of the best players in the world, but he couldn't be arsed. He could get away with it at Southampton, but managers at a higher level needed players to put in a shift, something that seemed anathema to Le Tiss. TBH, with his attitude I don't think he'd make the premier these days, he'd be another Ravel Morrison.
I disagree he just made it look easy!!! Look at some of the crap west ham have had playing in the prem ffs
