No one can buy the league nowadays. You can certainly buy a large pool of world-class players, but they still have to be coached into playing as a team in a certain way. That takes more than a top manager too. What City have done is to raise the bar in terms of performance levels, and Liverpool have finally managed to get to that level and exceed it, for the time being.

No it ****ing shouldn't . There are enough pedants on this message board to have said so a long time ago if it was wrong. Manchester United are a single entity.

You wouldn't write "Are thereisonlyoneno7 wrong with regard to this?" you would write "Is thereisonlyoneno7 wrong with regard to this?".
It would be correct if you wrote "Are thereisonlyoneno7 and his friends wrong with regard to this?" because there would be more than one person.

Let us see now, would you say "you are wrong" or "you is a wrong" . My use of are is correct in this instance. I think I can now stick my finger up twice to all of you mistaken pedants. **** it I'll stick it up three times.
