Here's an update from the BBC with a mention of Saints: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15944523.stm
But how can you tell the difference between the coffee and orange revels? Revels always remind me of Bill Bailey sketches!
All banter is fair game as far as i'm concerned, at least until the fat lady starts warbling. It is inapproptiate when someone closely associated with the club dies suddenly, as was the case with Markus and Aaron Flahavan.
Then, Southampton's parent company Southampton Leisure Holdings went into administratoin and though the club hoped to avoid deduction an investigation by Football League appointed accountants found the club & SLH were "inextricably linked as one economic entity". But CSI & PFC are not . As I said earlier , IMHO they will not get a deducton .
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/2973263.stm "A club going into administration twice in three years would have their membership of the League withdrawn" Oh dear not looking good for the Blue Few.
Not quite true that Saints were solely the football club. We had some other land, but basically we were trying (and failing) to escape via a loophole. FA at time said they were going to look closely at this and gave us the 10 points deduction. NC and ML decided not to pursue this. Feel for Pompey fans as, whatever they said behind my back, Portsmouth fans that I knew were apparently supportive to my face when we were in the same position. According to BBC, Portpin have registered as an interested party...presumably CSI haven't paid them in full yet. Back to the real issue of the day...coffee revels are bottom of the list..only tolerable because they are covered in chocolate.
As has already been mentioned though, they weren't in the Football League when they went into administration before. They were a member of the Premier League. Different entity, different rules. As besides, as Jasper says, I don't think you can say that Pompey and CSI are "inextricably linked as one economic entity".
A parent company is a parent company. Either take the points from Pompey or give ours back! I don't mind which!
Are CSI inextricably linked as one economic entity to PFC. Depends on how good the lawyers are I guess.
