If gabbiadini does go, before the manager, it won’t be much of a surprise. Another awful decision from a club that has completely lost its way.
Why is everyone flapping because of a tweet about Gabbi? He hasn't gone anywhere yet. Why not save the grieving until he has?
#Saintsfc on twitter is a bizarre world, where it seems almost every rumour is given total credence Club getting stick yesterday for wanting to sign a Celtic reserve Centre back(which turned out to be utter bollocks).
Di Marzio is incredibly reliable, especially for Italian clubs. But then I'm pretty sure the link only said that Bologna were 'interested'.
Even out of favour. I really can't see us selling Gabbi this window. We need to add to our attacking options, not sell!
The main reason I don't give this rumour much credit is because it is Bologna. I could see Gabbi going but not to a club like that as they almost certainly couldn't afford him. Destro is their record signing, he is still there, is a striker and cost €8.5m, so I can't see them being able to offer us or Gabbi enough for the deal to happen. A loan deal is a possibility though.
Is it just me.........We are all complaining about how slow the club was for getting off the mark in this transfer window. I was just thinking........what if it was the owners that were holding things up? To buy players you have to have the finance ready. To me it looks like the board have been told there would be no money available unless they sold someone to create funds. Hence the sale of VVD......in other words.......although we have new owners, the status quo has not changed.. if this is the case we are no further forward...And just maybe the board is taking flack it doesn’t deserve. Just a thought........
Yes they do.........but the board is very unlikely to let the fans know the problems they are having.......if any......with the new owners.
Now, are you telling us that we shouldn't be ragging on the board or that we should all properly wet the bed. Because that speculation right there makes me feel worse than anything else that's been discussed recently.
Delays can be explained by players/teams changing their mind, but the fact it happens so often to us suggests we are financially constrained....either in reality or by choice. As you say, nothing seems to have changed after the arrival of Gao. My feeling is that we some funds...financed by sales...but are aiming too high for the money available and we are reluctant to drop our sights. Fans want good players, but we also have a strange desire to buy anything rather than nothing....mainly because it isn't our money and we are quite happy to have a bit of hope (at least temporarily) restored. Like all of us, I am disappointed that nothing seems to have changed....I would rather have Katharina in charge in that case.....at least she has a face.
Kat has left the Board (12th January 2018) and probably has no influence at all now. Les Reed is the big cheese now...
Yeah was always going to be the case that Kat would have no say, she only had 20% of the business ffs. She could have put her input in but Gao had every right to completely ignore what she had to say. The fact she has left the board makes it seem more likely to me that Gao couldn't raise enough funds to buy the club completely outright and Kat couldn't find any other buyer so was happy to sell 80% and sell the further 20% at a later date when Gao had the cash (maybe using the PL money raised if we stay up?)
On Sky, just repeated that we are in talks for Carillo, but no confirmation of interest in 2 Atletico Madrid players.
It's been done to death on here but it's utterly laughable that people genuinely thought she'd still have a big say ffs
