    Hope Roofe is gone too!

No not the same guy, I dont think. But Windass has been very impressive all season.

Unless you are talking about Roofe then yes he did score past us. A good goal too.

Striker Nathan Blissett has today left Bristol Rovers by mutual consent following the end of his loan spell with Lincoln City.

Having scored at The Mem in his final game for Kidderminster Harriers last season the tall, powerful striker joined Rovers, initially on loan, as the club pushed towards potential promotion in its first season outside the Football League.

13 goals in 34 matches with Romulus preceded ten in 36 (+23) Conference games at Kidderminster, where he registered his first two goals in a 2-2 draw at Woking in November 2012. Loan spells at Cambridge, where he scored against Southport and Luton Town in 3 (+4) Conference matches, and Hedensford, where a début goal at Leamington proved the first of three in 5 (+1) Conference North matches, earned the front man a regular start for Harriers.

Goals against Gateshead and Rovers, coupled with a brace against League leaders Barnet, in his 13 (+5) appearances in 2014/15 brought him to the attention of Rovers’ manager Darrell Clarke.

He made a goalscoring debut for Rovers in a 2-2 draw against Chester FC on 22nd November 2014 and ended the campaign with five goals to his name and an appearance at Wembley in the Promotion Play Off Final.

Nathan joined Tranmere Rovers in a one month loan deal on 21st August 2015 and scored once in five league appearances whilst at Prenton Park.

On his return to The Memorial Stadium, he made his Football League debut when going on as a late substitute against Notts County in October 2015 and also made a late cameo appearance against Carlisle United in November.

Nathan signed a one month loan deal with National League side Lincoln City in November 2015 and during his time at Sincil Bank appeared in three league games.

Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to thank Nathan for his efforts whilst with us and would like to take this opportunity of wishing him all the best for the future.

    Gaffney Watch....

    From the Post...

Rovers hopes of signing Rory Gaffney on a permanent basis could hinge on whether Cambridge United are able to retain the services of Gillingham striker Ben Williamson for the remainder of the season.

Cambridge boss Derry, is believed to be more open to sanctioning a deal that would see Gaffney, who has been injured for the majority of the time that has preceded his move from League of Ireland side Limerick last January, to leave if he is successful in his efforts to bring Williamson, who has scored three times in eight games, back to the Abbey Stadium.

"I like Ben and Ben wants to stay here as well," Derry told the Cambridge News. "His heart is with us at this moment in time, probably because he has experienced a similar month to six weeks to what Rory (Gaffney) has experienced (at Bristol Rovers). When you're playing well for the club you're pulling on your shirt for, you kind of gravitate a bit more towards that club. We are at the fourth level of football and feel we're a big fish, but we're actually not. We're the small ones in a pretty big pond. There's a kind of knock-on effect with different things that take place, but I want to keep Ben. We'll be looking at improving the squad because I feel now we have to give the second half of the season a real good go and obviously we need some more players."

Rovers couldn't be in a better position to have spotted any untapped talent from the non-league clubs. Also their league position will make the club more attractive to potential incomers.

Not surprised Lockyer's being scouted. He's a gem.

Dead right. I think this squad can grow and get a lot more success, and payers like Lockyer are key to making that happen.
