I don’t think it’s a case of Stewart wanting away. It’ll be a case of him and his agents exploring his options. Similar to what O’Nien did last summer and probably similar to what all agents do all the time. It just only gets highlighted when it’s a player in demand. I still reckon he might stay. But if a club offers good money for him I’d be fully behind the club deciding to cash in if he indicates he wants to make the move.
Agree, if there is a sniff of him 'not being fully committed' then we cash in. We will have replacements lined up, I'm confident of that.
Wouldn't shock me to see us sign an experienced head to compliment Evans but I'd worry what that meant for Neil,Ba and Michut....
Makes sense that we'd look to bring an experienced midfielder in, Evans gets injured and we're weak in there. Look at Cardiff game for example.
I think it surely would just mean less game time for Evans, would be Evans or new midfielder with one of the young lads
That wouldn’t be a bad deal actually although I’d rather LND signed a new contract here as he’s just about to hit his peak I think.
Evans is actually the player we seem to miss as much as anyone bar maybe Stewart. I’d also worry if Patterson got an injury.
We don’t need Bradley dack He’s had bad injuries He’s not experienced He’s no better than what we have He’s crap Any info would be welcomed
Did they make any signings last January? Thinking maybe Roberts and Defoe? I could see maybe 1 out and 1 or at most 2 in as it’s a bad time to ‘invest’ for the longer term.
I'm going to be gutted and fuming if we let Stewart go in January like. Especially if we haven't offered him a decent enough contract and they just sell him at the drop of a hat to another championship club.
Fans at a big club like ours won't have the patience for this "model" if this is going to be the norm.
