C'mon 'Norway' life can't be that bad, please, I insist ............ shoot me. Last thing we need a player who has his own 24 hour medical practice where he is the only patient. I remember us going very close to getting him but his heart was with the Hammers ................. well, all I can say is STAY THERE Joe. Wouldn't want to you not to feel the love big Sam is putting out. Someone call a medi-cab, Joe's attempting to walk out ................. nurse!
I believe we have tried players like this before. Not for me please. Defoe is rather different though. I wonder whether he might be another Giggs in the making? Still banging them in at nearly 40!!
He gives me the impression that he quite fancies himself and that he'll still be banging them at 40 ........................ now whether that includes footballs, time will tell.
Defoe relies on pace, without pace he is another Owen. Giggs was clever and adapted his game. Defore cannot do that. Look at Etoo, was once on 250k a week, now makes Torres look good.
Never been a fan of Joe Cole. Always been seriously over rated for me. No thanks..I'd take Giggs though...!!
I thought Defoe was heading to Canada? No way will he be banging them in at 40...the only players who last that long are those whose physical presence makes them too much to handle. Defoe's greatest asset is his pace, which will not be there at 35 let alone 40.
It would be a return to the dark days as far as I am concerned. No more expensive has beens looking for a big pay day. Regardless of whether Harry believes he is the right sort of not.
by Hugh Southon28th November 2013 3:42pm GMT Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is tracking the situation surrounding his former West Ham favourite, Joe Cole. Redknapp has been watching carefully as the 32-year-old fell out and made up with himself and Irons boss Sam Allardyce over the last few days. The midfielder looks determined to leave Upton Park for the second time this summer when his contract runs out. Cole was angry when Allardyce hauled him off after less than half an hour of the match against Chelsea on Saturday and stormed straight down the tunnel. Questioned on the incident, the manager claimed that players did that because they only thought about themselves. And when stories emerged yesterday in the national press about Cole wanting away, an article quickly appeared on the official Hammers website in which Cole claimed there were no problems. However, with his contract unlikely to be renewed anyway in the summer, SportsDirect News can exclusively reveal that Redknapp would be keen to sign the player on a free transfer. A source revealed: "Saturday's events could have been better handled and things were said which would have been better put in a different way and which with hindsight would have been. "Joe has had his injury worries and like any passionate professional still believes has much to offer. Harry Redknapp loves him and holds an interest after their early days together." http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/football-league/36550-qpr-redknapp-tracks-cole.php#.Upi908Q3DQU ....
