    We were talking about him early last season about all the costly mistakes that directly cost us points, Crystal Palace was just one. At the time I reckoned he cost us about 7-8 points. I can't remember what they all were now, I'd have to back looking through all those threads, but I wasn't alone in that view. The common denominator was Wes's absence alongside.

    Well put, just watch the re-play of the second goal, its a lesson in woeful defending by our captain, but the fact is that we have little choice but to stick with him for now.
