Thanks for that memory Whiteley, brought a tear to my eye! Kelvin was just ridiculously good that day.

 

Good to see Rickie and Nigel. I like Saints being in the Premier League but the lower leagues just seemed more like proper football to me.

 

How come everybody has left Tadanari Lee out of their proposed line-ups then...??

 

Lallana will probably be 'injured' for this. Would like to see him there but with Euros coming up it would be a bit silly and there are probably too many Saints fans who would dish out abuse and potentially spoil the atmosphere

I thought it was a shame that they didn't stretch the opponents to feature all of SKDs team mates over the last 10 years, just as an excuse to try and get señor Gareth down, but even trying to get a first eleven out of those two promotion teams is hard enough.

Morgan on the bench as he might be away and Punch because he sulked for two years. Still plenty of players like Dickson, Fox, Lee, De Ridder & Forte who put in performances over those two years.

It's going to be a love in.

I think you have to have Lambert and Adkins, if at all possible. After that... If I could be there, I would most want to see the players who had played big roles in the promotion seasons but never got to play in PL. Even Forte. Then I guess, followed by those who played SOME in the PL (ie Hooieveld).

Schneiderlin and Chamberlain seem like nice guys who might agree to appear and who would probably lend a certain star quality to the match. So that's nice. But I mean, you can see them anytime.

Lots and lots of people who I'd love to see again, but I think Richardson, Jaidi, Connolly and Nigel top my wish list.

 

I want to see Guly. Genuinely. I loved his languid, lazy style and his ability (until Christmas in Championship year) to score seemingly without effort.
