You say that, but he said he didn’t get paid for the first month he was here. So I do believe that bit. As that is normal business practice. Payday is the end of the month. You start on the 1st, you don’t get paid until the end!! He should’ve had an agent to arrange a signing on fee! NotSAFC fault or problem!!! as for the rest……….
Wouln't his previous Team have paid him up to the time he left them, which was the end of the month. So, I ASSUME that he had a months wages in hand. Most of us will have changed jobs at some time in our careers. Once you join the adult World, there are adjustments you have to make. It's called growing up.
I agree, however this is football, slightly different world, I don't believe sunderland afc let a young player go skint to the point where he had no clothes? I'm sure the union would've had something to say about that imo.
No clothes really means he expected to be paid a month's wages the day he walked through the door and when he wasn't he had to put his shopping spree for new designer clothes on hold for a few weeks. All of which wasn't what he imagined when we offered him a contract! Says a lot that he doesn't mention football!
