Unless you are downloading movies or playing games it doesn't make much difference. Webpages will only load at the same speed whether at the higher or lower. 12mps is fast enough tor browsing, using Kodi, watching player etc...
I watched " The Revenant " the other day via Kodi, it was fine , no buffering and reasonable quality. The biggest problem seems to be lip sync on live football reviews.
Thanks to SuperSpesSpydra have been watching films through Showbox which is more stable than Kodi. Modbro is the best for watching sports.
Trevor Bolder's dog was called Kodi. Still is in fact. Just thought I'd put that out there. Mainly because it's the only thing I know about Kodi...
If you have the sound icon at the bottom of the screen it opens a menu which includes an option to adjust the synchronisation.
This is a good video that akes you through updating Kodi to the latest version (16) - all you need is the mouse that comes with your box or whatever, really improved and updated my movies fantastically, getting the very latest in excellent quality. Still got a problem with live sport buffering that I didn't have until recently - any ideas?
Yes, I followed instructions on a webpage. If you're not sorted later I'll send you a link to it when I'm home & on the laptop.
I haven't used one (well technically the one in our house is registered to Mrs Tash...but she doesn't use a VPN!)
My understanding is that it's not illegal to download Kodi onto a Firestick, it's illegal to download it to a Firestick and then sell the Firestick on.
I think the concern is being targeted for watching copyright fraud. A vpn might deter them and cause them to focus on easier targets.
I use NORD VPN. Reasonable price. I use this https://www.redboxtv.net/ and this http://showsport-tv.com/android-app.html loaded on to Firestick. Takes care of most things.
I use Tunnel bear, free at first and you can up grade later. https://www.tunnelbear.com/b/try/?a..._id=36&utm_source=Affiliate&utm_campaign=7day
