Ridiculous decision - please log in to view this image Just like Birmingham removing Eustace and us removing Nige.
Is it, he clearly had a target set by the board, that he didn’t reach. LJ got sacked by us for the exact same reason, I don’t recall you, and many others on here saying it was ridiculous decision.
Be careful what you wish for when you blow the bank balance to chase success….. FFP are coming for Hull City … Ridiculous club …
LJ had to go DH was never the right man for the job NP was blown out by the owners son that did not like a few home truths being whispered in his ear.
Yes, because he failed to meet the target set him by the board, so it seems is the same for Rosenior.
Different emotions and reactions to different managers, very disappointed when Cotts left, huge relief and happy when LJ was ejected, felt a lot of sympathy when Deano was moved on, Nige should have been treated with more respect, it was a travesty but it's now history, I want LM to be given time, support and I back him to create a strong squad but come October you might see a different attitude from me but happy very happy to await developments, with regards to other teams decisions I honestly could not give a cows cuss.
Paid the price of failing to make the Play Offs I guess Personally I think he has the makings of a decent Championship manager and I’m sure he won’t be out of work for long
I agree, I’d be surprised if he isn’t snapped up pretty quickly by a Championship club. Good managers are rarely out of work long.
To be fair he had some real quality in that squad -hence FFP is going to hurt them going forward. Clearly the owners were going for promotion.
I completely agree with you RR, they have brought a lot of quality in with loans and signings and are now I guess going to be under pressure with FFP and P&S. Genuine question for you. You have often suggested this season we need to recruit several expensive upgrades to our team. What would happen if we did and finished 7th? Its a big risk
I did say we need a 9 and i think that has proven to have cost us a playoff spot. My words were it is going to bite us on the ass big time and yes it has come true. We were running on vapours up front this season. Tommy is being sold -Wells and Cornick will be gone -i believe we will see two new strikers minimum come in and hopefully a couple of others.
You did say about a 9 but also several others probably 1 to 11 . If we did and didn't get promoted we would be up the creek.
"I can't say what the biggest difference is. Liam's football philosophy is very good and may be successful but we didn't see it suiting our character for the future." strange the number of "foreign" owners that get rid of a manager .... who to be honest was quite successful in getting 7th ....... I just loved it when Birmingham got the drop ... there was similar events in the league this season ...did any succeed? ....... ! ?
Sadly it’s best all round if Tommy is sold, he is not a lone striker and LM will not play him with a number 9 at this club, He needs a club where he gets balls into space for him to run onto or knock ons from a number 9, that won’t happen at the gate, shame as he is an excellent finisher!
I agree, he’s not going to reach his full potential with our present squad, and with LM’s tactics. Best for all concerned he goes, as I can’t see us changing.
