As we are aware Barry Douglas penned a three year deal yesterday but it is not known whether he will take part or not. It also looks likely that Patrick Bamford is also on his way - you never know, Vydra may be coming as well!!! Whilst we all wish our transfers had been concluded sooner, nobody could whinge if these two purchaese come off followed by a decent centre back on loan.
Wanna bet? We need a midfield enforcer more than we needed a left back. Progress yes, but too little and too late for this season.
Latest news Rumour doing the roundsthat Forshaw is injured. Looks like De Bock may be going to Fleetwood on loan.
https://thisisfutbol.com/2018/07/blogs/major-leeds-injury-blow-for-forshaw/ Not good if true. Morning.
Beginning to look like he’s one of those injury prone players. Given our small pool of quality players we didn’t need this. However injuries are part and parcel of the game
You have to question our ability to scout decent players as a club when we pay £1.5m for De Bock in January, he plays 7 games and now looks to be shipped out to League One Fleetwood. What a fall from grace that is! Sounds like one quality signing in with Douglas but leaving it so late are we likely to see him in action this afternoon?? Probably not and this is why I have the arse ache with the way things have happened pre-season. Allegedly we might get a couple more in during the week but no time left to try them out. Still a ****ing shambles in my view. Don't get me wrong as I will be willing them on this afternoon against Las Palmas and will be more than pissed of if the performance is not up to scratch (but then again he hasn't put the same line-up out more than once so why should they perform well) and if they lose well 'nuff said.
Last season Forshaw missing would be a huge blow but I think this season it’s not as critical, I’m not sure where we were going to squeeze him in, maybe this is a chance for Baker or Vieira or Klich to stake a claim
I read this morning that Douglas had a bust up with the Wolves coach, more the coach felt he was outspoken so dropped him from all preseason involvement. If true he surely can’t be fit enough to start?
As you say we don't have enough quality as it is without losing one of our better players before a ball has even been kicked. They should have had players in ages ago to get them up to speed in time for the start. I am dreading the game vs Stoke and then Derby up after that. We will be lucky to have a point after these two games I reckon.
I always feel Forshaw is a calming influence in the middle, he has a certain gravitas, is cool under pressure and unflustered - Vieira certainly doesn't give us that now though he might in future, and Baker, what little I've seen of him, is too flaky & lightweight atm. Klich might be our best bet?
Yes, just a quick one. I was going to ask if anyone fancied doing the match day threads this forthcoming season
Hoping .... Lee Sobot@LeeSobotYEP 2m2 minutes ago More Adam Forshaw felt some discomfort in his toe in training on Friday. He has been assessed over the weekend and that will continue tomorrow. Not involved today. #lufc

Reading that idiot that wrote that article earlier that was supposed to be ITK, you'd think Foreshaw had broken his leg
