Antonov and his colleague have both been bailed and the case adjourned until December 16th.

    Not funny.

It could only happen to Pompey, couldn't it?

Not sure yet, but for the next 3 weeks he is free to a) continue with his business activities (don't bother I've already anticipated the jokes to that) and b) work with his lawyers on his defence against extradition.

It also gives Dubov and Akers a bit of time in securing their own interests in CSI (and Pompey).

For Pompey itself, at least for the moment, it shouldn't have an immediate impact as the club is living within its means, but it could mean no budget for the January transfer window.

As long as the club is living within its means then there is probably no immediate threat but, if CSI are bankrolling the day to day running of the club, then there is. Given that we are under the watchful eye of the Football League I would have thought that the club is living within its means. As 3rd eye writes, there is unlikely to be any transfer funds in January, unless we sell someone first - I expect Tal Ben Haim to go at any rate just to reduce the wage bill. The crunch may come when the next CVA payment is due next spring, unless that was also being funded out of club funds.

Apart from some of the football it's never boring being a Pompey supporter is it!

Aren't the CVA monies coming out of the parachute payments?

I believe so Pieking, but 35 years of supporting Pompey makes me nervous. I have always been a glass half full person but those nerves make me shake and I don't want any of it to spill!

    :emoticon-0103-cool: Cool <party>

Weather fine here - looking forward to the Leicester game tomorrow and hoping Nuge fails to score against us.

We'll see if the team have got the true Pompey grit and keep my record intact!

Dedication is what they need. If you aren't going to be a record breaker (cue long trumpet solo).

How about the trumpet volunteer, by Purcell (some attribute this to Jeremiah Clark).
About as far removed from Westwood's bugle, as you could possibly get.
