Simulation red eg Mitrovic. Deliberate handball Weimann straight red. What's the difference between what Weimann did and a defender hand balling off line? Football will soon be a horrible watch if the above 2 things go unpunished. Yellow card is not enough and Mitrovic did self same thing as bamford last season
Agree Weimann should have been sent off if he Maradonna'd it into the goal, as the Commentators said, though I never saw it from the stream myself. Surely the laws permit that?I was struggling to understand what had wound Lumley up again He was also going berserk, along with Rangel and Barbet, all blaming each other for the 2nd goal. Pathetic errors from all 3, and even more so when they blame each other like that. Warburton should leave all 3 out for the next game.
Any team with a Q in their name to be awarded ten points at the start of each season, in line with scrabble tiles. Z also gets ten and X gets 8........
The offside law, particularly now we have bloody VAR, needs looking at. To look through VAR to determine whether a forward's bell-end is ahead of the defenders elbow is patently ridiculous. On a marginal call, it's only the player's centre of gravity at the point that the ball is played that might gives him an unfair advantage or not... and how in Stan Bowles' name can your assess that with VAR, VAT or a VAX? Maybe the authorities need to make bold changes the offside, perhaps something ridiculous such as the attacker is only offside if there's clear daylight between him and the defender? Given the amount of dosh swilling about in footie, I wonder whether we ought to have 4 linesmen per game instead of two. How can a linesman make an accurate call on something happening over the other side of the pitch? Maybe a player could only be adjudged offside if both flags go up? I don't like the Sin-Bin idea much. If the player is that much of a mofo then he should be permanently off the pitch. Straight red for diving, as has been said before. Use VAR for that. Let's dispense with this "he had every right to go down" bollocks that Shearer keeps spunking. I've commented previously about preventing teams from loaning players to sides in the same division. The condition whereby the loaned player can't play against his parent club is a massively unfair advantage to the lending club as the borrowing club is forced to potentially play a weakened side against them. It's therefore unfair to other teams in the division too. Do this, and limit the number of players each team can have in it's registered squad between transfer windows (maybe to 30), and in time it'll stop the richer clubs hoovering up all the talent. Players that really want to play will think twice about joining clubs without being first assured a squad number. I'd quite like to see the player tripped in the penalty area being the one that has to take the penalty, with the team's best penalty taker only getting the chance for infringements such as handball. Enforce the rule that only captains can approach the referee. Limit the number of players in a defensive wall to three only. Change that damn stupid new handball law, or amputate outfield players' arms and be done with it. Prevent teams making substitutions when there's only 5 minutes of normal time left. Ban defensive throw-ins straight to the 'keeper. We led the way with 3 points for a win. Maybe we should experiment with 4 points for an away win? That would be interesting!
Straight red for diving and simulation. Referees to be reminded it can be a contact sport. 10-15 minute sin bin with a yellow might liven up the spectacle.
Punishment for a deliberate “professional” foul, the opposition have a designated player who is allowed to give the perpetrator a kick in the balls
I hate gold lettering and numbers which are unreadable, especially annoying when mated to an almost entirely new squad.
