I'm more than a little surprised that the time has not been altered for television purposes. The Cod heads have won once since the end of September; a 3-2 home win against Brentford nearly two weeks ago, yet most of their losses only come by the odd goal. TC will need to decide whether to start with Lasogga who has been training all week or whether Cibicki deserves an extended run in the team. Ekuban has been ruled out until February, which does not leave the West Yorkshire club with many options up front. Even though 12 places separate the teams, this is a local derby, and as we all know, anything can happen. It will be nice to hear from some Hull fans about the game / season so far.

Well after having all our quality players sold in Summer and not seeing the money reinvested in the squad, many fan’s hopes weren’t high. Rightly so, too. Neither were they were surprised when a manager brought in with a good pedigree and continental experience came and went without so much of a whimper. The football was League 1 Standard at best, the stadium lies half empty and the relationship with the owners can be summed up in 3 and a half words: “Thi’ can rod it.” But, and whisper it quietly, Nigel Adkins (yes, that one) is pulling this squad out the ****. Granted, it’s like that bit in the Shawshank Redemption where he is literally crawling through squalor, but we have shown decent and noticeable improvement under him. The injury figures last week saw us without 17 first team players, 6 of which have been out or will be out for a good chunk of this season. The defeat at Cardiff, a strong contender for promotion this season, was admirable if not a bit crap for the neutral, while a solid and pretty comfortable 3-2 win over Brentford saw a smooth transition between the Russian and the Scouse. I couldn’t predict a score line, but had his fixture come a month ago I fear we would have been annihilated. As it stands now, we may put up more of a fight. As they say, a wounded Tiger is a dangerous one. And there’s some choice cuts to be had in this league.
Morning SA, OMFG, 17 players out....That's an entire squad. I genuinely thought you'd get a point from Cardiff last week the way the game was going.
It's been a real problem, we've had to name at least 4 kids on the bench for the last 2 games, none of which are ready to be playing in the Championship. Our local paper totalled it up and it comes to about £44m worth of players sat in the treatment room. The worst part is, our owners won't be forking out any money for quality in January either, so we're waiting for these players to come back, but most of them aren't due to return until February at the earliest and by then I fear we might truly be in the ****.
Our bench and half the team are the same. Our latest owner is taking out far more than he is putting in. Not many here have cottoned on but when we go on another losing streak they will wake up.
cGood morning, Can see this as being a tight game, under Adkins we certainly look a lot better defensively organised than under our Russian friend. As my esteemed friend Sterling Archer says we have been beset by injuries, but hopefully one or two will be back, and we can give you a game. A draw could be on the cards for this one.
We've been struggling all season (ALLAMS OUT). We're still not great but Nigel seems to have made us more solid recently. I'm not confident and fear a 3 goal drubbing. I'll be there on Saturday, not too far from me in Garforth, looking forward to it and at least it's not a long drive home if you smash us. UTT.
That sounds oddly familiar. You'd think after £50m odd in player sales and £90m in TV money we'd have spent a bit more to give this league a real go. Certainly more than the £10m they actually spent. But sure, loans are definitely the way forward.
