Leeds Utd v Leicester City
Sunday 7th November@14:00 | Elland Road

Leicester City are the visitors to Elland Road on Sunday lunchtime as the Whites try to build on their 2-1 victory at Carrow Road last weekend. Although not their best performance, the three valuable points lifted them above the drop zone. A similar result against Brendan Rodgers' side will certainly lift the dark clouds away from West Yorkshire's finest and give them some breathing space but it won't be easy.

After a disappointing performance against Arsenal last weekend, the Foxes will be desperate to climb back into the top half of the table, but have to contend with Spartak Moscow this evening first in the Europa League.

Leeds fans will be overjoyed after it was revealed that Patrick Bamford is over the ankle injury he sustained at Newcastle in September; but having missed seven games, the 28yo needs to return to full fitness before Bielsa thinks about unleashing him.

Ayling too is nearing a return to action. His knee injury required minor surgery, but returned to light duties a fortnight ago. Junior Firpo could miss his fifth match with a muscle injury. Although minor, if aggravated, could sideline the left back for months.

Robin Koch is definitely out. The German centre back underwent surgery in the States for his troublesome groin strain he picked up on the opening game of the season at Old Trafford.

There has been a sickness bug going around Leicester City's dressing room. Harvey Barnes, James Maddison and James Justin have all been sidelined, but hope to play some part of the game. Attacking midfielder Ayoze Perez will return for Blues after a similar illness kept him sidelined for a fortnight.

 

Leicester are our worst nightmare at the moment. The way they counter coupled with the way we literally gift possession away is a match made in hell.

Could be a long afternoon if we are not on it

 

It's been a long season so far. We're at home is the only positive that I can find. Another tough game for us and it seems like it's going to be like this whom ever we play this season. I know it's early days, but I'd be happy with just surviving this season.

Last season we were the best team twice, but in the first game a very poor pitch cost us after battering them constantly we slipped up but we managed to do them the next game. They are not invincible this season so as neither of us are at our best we might do this. Stories about Rodgers leaving cant be helping because the story is that Rodgers has been asked to take over from Pep when he leaves?

 

Here we go again, no Ayling, no Bamford, no Koch, maybe no Firpo and Shackelton which depends on fitness tests tomoz

 

They'll be back for our relegation battle
