Just proves my point get your results in early and you get the reward non of this leaving it to the last minute nonsense Having won the award do I get a trophy
Kinell got butterflies in my stomach, but am also worried, this is doing me no good at all, why oh why do we put ourselves all threw these emotions Good morning everyone and i hope for an even better afternoon C'MON LEEEEEEDS And get us off to a flyer.
Strange one today, a lot of new faces in a new league, will they take time to settle? The result is important but the performance probably more so. No excuses of not being used to the system. I think Bielsa underestimated the PL and I’m hoping Jesse hasn’t done the same. Jesse couldn’t get the Bielsa team to play ‘his way’ effectively enough. He’s spent a lot of money on his players, if his method doesn’t work in the PL we’re stuck I still think we’re going to get a thumped a few times and if that’s the case, these home games against teams like Wolves are vital
The Jesse tactics are the most interesting part. If it's not working (see Villa 0-3) then will he persist or throw them in the bin ? We've definitely got the talent in the squad to play a more conventional 4-3-3 with just one holding midfielder.
To be fair I had a bit of a deserved lie in this morning. Otherwise who knows who might have picked up the clown award
Couple of positives from Eire. If things aren’t going to plan this season I’m happier having Marsch at the helm. He’s proven he can turn things around under pressure and change tactics if need be. Also think the six weeks of World Cup will be a help. We know we’ll have injuries by then and it’ll give us a great chance for players to recover
Main thing for me today apart from 3 points is to see signs of progress from a footballing perspective on a competitive game. I expect to see defensive lapses that we’ve seen pre-season but which hopefully will improve over the season, but I want to see signs of attacking potential. Wolves under lage are typically hard to break down so it’s a good test to see if we can create chances in a competitive match. We’ve lost our two best players so context in terms of expectations is needed. This season objective 1 is to stay up. I won’t be judging on one game, but as others have said JM has had a full pre-season and clearly significant influence in the signings, so it’s his team, his methodology. No excuses
I reckon Bielsa deliberately didn't buy too many as he knew he was going at the end of the season, and wanted his predecessor to have a larger kitty!
