Bottled it, too right he did. Even if the 1-1 had come off we would of still had to listen to Millwall giving it your never beat the Millwall. At 45 years of age i dont think i will again. The best thing about today was it was a dress rehearsal for my legs. They will be on show at Middlesbrough away on the 7th of December Damn you bowyer , f@ck the point
Melbourne Boxing Day 2002 series, 1st time I met a Zulu to say thank you. Had a good beer that night.
Grant in the snow. 4 of us were in the main stand for this, I joined in with "What a load of rubbish!" The average spanner is alright, we both have a very healthy dislike of 'them'.
Mr ban Gerwen was banging one out on seeing Charlton flooding London Bridge before the game. Kojak will never learn
Have to say seeing your legs was one of the rare bright spots yesterday @Clb74 ...a magnificent albeit rather drenched pair of pins, fit to prop up any second hand coffee table. As for Millwall, you almost get inured to the disappointment in the end. It was soooooo predictable. Never thought I would see a Bowyer side bottle it, but we did there..badly.
Another nugget of bad news looking ahead... Darren Pratley picked up his 5th yellow card yesterday (the only Charlton player booked in a match against Millwall? That can't be good either) As far as I know this means Pratley will be suspended for the home game against Cardiff City. I'm aware there is a time limit - or maybe a match limit - for yellow cards from the beginning of the season, but I don't think we have reached it yet. Somebody else here may be able to clarify this.
There you go Lardi.... at the bottom http://www.cafcpicks.com/cgi-bin/drkish/display.pl?month=201911&date=20191108&time=0547
Thanks AHLL That's confirmed then. Pratley is suspended for the Cardiff game at the Valley. We'll have to hope there are enough fit players available for him not to be missed too much. Gallagher and Lockyer - two other very important players - will cop a suspension if they pick up one more yellow card against Cardiff City, Luton Town or Sheffield Wednesday.
Thanks Dr Kish for the info, and thanks AHLL for pointing me towards it. Thanks as well to my mum, without whom none of this would have been possible
Interesting to read boyers view on the game. We controlled large parts and that he would have been disappointed with a draw. **** knows what I was watching then.
In the CharltonLive preview they were questioning the build-up to the game. Namely the fact that Bowyer changed the preparation routine because of the importance of the game, and was it wise to change something which had served us pretty well.
In the SLP on Friday Chris Solly claimed that he and JJ and some of the other old timers had drummed it into the new players this week just what the derby meant. Hollow words, I’m afraid. The players looked sh1t scared. We need to be on 30 points by Xmas, given that we are likely to have a Duchatelet January with Taylor & possibly Cullen departing. That now looks a tall order. 8 points from the last 10 games is relegation form. The bottom line is that as a team we are hugely reliant on Taylor & Williams, and when we don’t score because of their absence we can’t keep a clean sheet to nick a draw.
Another frustrating afternoon watching leko even though he scored. I can handle the wayward pass or the not pass at all, hanging onto the ball for too long, being completely the wrong place.Beating the same player, once then twice then loosing it.But what really ****s me off is,when he does **** up,his shoulders drop, his head goes down and he ends walking around like a dog looking for somewhere to ****. ...in contrast to Conor Gallagher, who, everytime with 100% effort tries to make up any mistakes he’s made.
