We played some very good one touch football there, very enjoyable to watch. Forced substitutions made it messy at the end but I always felt we could step it up.
Good response to Saturdays off day, pleased to see so many youngsters stepping up, the futures bright if we can hang into them all, well done lads.
A good 7 or 8 of them are first XI players apparently. They lost a few from last season to Championship clubs but it was a strong team they put out tonight.
With Evans, Pritchard (normally good) and potentially Winny. Pretty bloody decent compared to last years.
I am more than happy with Winny at right back, and have yet to see anything from Pritchard to suggest he has what it takes to get a place in the side.
Couldnt watch this as was in the car. Listened on Talksport 2. It is fair to say they were drooling about Dan Neil. The second commentator said if he was a prem scout he would be back to watch him week in week out. They compared him to Carrick. Lets hope this contract gets signed because his reputation is going to grow and grow. For me he is the absolute real deal in centre mid. For his goal received on the half turn, played a pass with great pace on it and was open for the return. Hell of a player.
Certainly not disagreeing with your choices but I can see Huggins, Cirkin & Hume becoming the FB's. Obviously not in the same game cos that would be silly. Winchester has been superb at RB but could he get even more goals in an attack minded midfield.
Impressive result given we played a load of U23s and they had a strong side out. The right kind of response.
Fair do;s Gil we are spoiled for choice really, great position to be in over what will be a long season and everyone mentioned will get their chance its up to them to take it. OaU,
