Ditch Microsoft and go Linux. I done this about seven years ago and never looked back. Started by dual booting but eventually took windows10 out at of laptop and now run on just Linux on laptop and desktop. I tried various versions of Linux and the one that is most probably closest to Windows / easiest to transfer to is Mint. No antivirus or anti malware needed so no slow down of performance and constantly being updated so always up to date. Finally guess what it's all free, the operating system and updates and programs/ apps all free and guess what it's faster especially for older systems.( See Peppermint version of Linux ) I'm not a salesperson for Linux coz it's all open source which means it's all free. Stop being a Sheeple and free yerself.
