Hang on a minute, am I drunk? This thread seems familiar...

The CL starts up again this week and we get our 2nd taste of Port-o as Liquerpool go up against them.

Having thrashed them 5-0 away from home, Liquerpool go into this full of confidence. After some good results, they've kept up the form with a comfortable win against Newcastle Brown Ale on Saturday.

Port-o currently top their league and will be no pushover as they have only suffered 2 defeat in their last 25 games, that a 3-2 Loss against Vodka Red Bull Leipzig & the 5-0 defeat to the reds.

It's sure to be a good atmosphere under the moonshine at Anfield so the players will need to be careful not to get whisk-eyd in the emotion of it all.

These 2 teams have only played each other 5 times, twice in the CL in 2007 and twice in the UEFA Cup back in 2001, when Liquerpool famously lifted the Cup and memorably 2 weeks ago in the reverse fixture.

The game will be on Tuesday at 7:45pm

Klopp says he won't play a weaker team for this one even though we haven't united at weekend - not going to be resting players?

Maybe all that rotation before xmas was with this in mind and the players are fit and raring to go.

    BBC interview

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he will only make two or three changes to his side despite their 5-0 first-leg win against Porto.

That would make sense and then once the game is beyond any doubt use the subs well. He could even make a sub at half time and rest players that way.

    TBH 3 is enough.

    no case for GK change
Case for Gomez coming back in.
Lovren? i don't think he needs a rest
VVD? maybe.. but he might not even get a sweat on. Matip could come in
Robertson? real case for moreno here..

but I am getting on for 3 in back 5 already so thats too many. I would change the full backs only here.

    Midfield:
Wijnaldum, can, lallana... job done? or will it be milner, can lallana as one singe change

    Attack
    Mane
    firmino
Ox? rest salah here. we need to make sure of him. everything we are doing is on his runs in behind.

    so....

    I would say 4 changes

    Karius
    Gomez Lovren VVD Moreno
    Lallana Can Wijnaldum
    Ox firmino mane

    sub firmino on 60mins

that rests henderson who will be needed as the headless chicken v utd. Milner who got a knock, robertsaon and taa AND salah.

that team is only really maybe one or two players form debatable full strength.

BTW RB Leipzig are technically RasenBallsport Leipzig because there is a ban on sponsors in names, so calling them "RB" is a #bentasfuck workaround

Leipzig also ignore the 50+1 rule on fan representation by having Red Bull employees as "fan representation"

**** club and makes a #joke of when the Bundesliga get on their high horse about "fans not customers" compared with the PL (though they do get a lot right)
