Nunez should find gakpo there. That was poor letting them back in. He finds salah then but is a mile off. Proper defending that. Nobody behind rhe line. Romeo in control
Nunez…. Every time. Just had to take a touch and walk around the keeper. it’s those moments, that clinical streak and decision making in that final 3rd. Just not quite there.
4 goals up… throw 2 in to make it a game. Does that game just sum up klopps reign at lfc? No control and end to end basketball match. Absolutely loved it
I felt maddison made the difference really. Son pushed wide rather than running about on his own pressing but nowhere near it. Richardson actually onside.
Mrs Garlic Klopp and I enjoyed that game immensely. Elliott really is the only midfielder recently who always pushes forward and shows energy. we now have 8 days until the Villa game which will be a dead rubber for us, but might be important for Villa.
Our offside line has been none existent for weeks. We really need to change thst as cbs should be able to step up on a ball like that straight down the middle
Nunez biggest fan and go into every game thinking if something clips he might score 4 in any game. But then his decision making at the end of the pitch just needs refining. You’d hope he’s maybe sit down with someone and try and learn over the summer. Speak to Suarez, speak to Jota, what goes through your mind when you’re 1v1. At the end there just hit it at the keeper who was flying out. Just had to let it roll across his body and ease past the keeper for open goal. Theres a player in there, he just needs something to click to go from a 10-15 goal striker to a 25 goal striker.
That one really ****ing annoyed me. Any striker with half a brain cell would have tapped the ball to the side with the keeper flying out like that
Thought Gakpo was much better today but went a bit quiet in the second half (scored whilst quiet though)
Bit like our season went a bit flat at the end but Elliott , in particular , & Gakpo had really good games
until we went 4 up we were right on it and finally looked fresh and lively and then the subs happened which made us worse and Spurs much better .
Think everyone just took their foot off the gas and fair play to spurs their subs made a difference and ran in behind rather than trying to play everything in front of us.
I agree, we really just lost the shape that got us 4-0 up. Bajcetic is miles off match fitness and really it was just a reward for him to get some minutes. The midfield just fell apart but that's what it is
