The Chairboys look to secure their League Two status this weekend when they entertain the Magpies at Adams Park, we sit a massive 22pts above the drop zone with eight games left we also sit just four points off the playoff places and the next three games are against teams in the bottom five. The Magpies are ten points clear of danger and since Kevin Nolan's appointment as manager in mid January they have turned their season around with a very impressive record at Meadow Lane. Gaz will be sweating on the fitness of both Aaron Pierre and the Beast who both went off injured in the win against Hartlepool, Paris is suspender after picking up two yellows Sam Wood should return from illness also Scott Kashket could return to the bench before next weeks trip to East London. I will be in attendance for this one taking my place on the terrace, looking forward to seeing the lads playing their own brand of attacking exciting football and gaining our first win at AP for seven weeks
7 weeks since a home win. Didn't realise that. What a turn round from our 16 match unbeaten run. An 8 match unbeaten run would do us now (mostly wins of course)
Big game again (they all are now) - need a win to stay within the playoff chase and notts is, on paper at least, a winnable game. I dont think gaz will change the shape, so I expect weston southwell and bayo to start if all fit. If bayo isnt, I think thompson or wood will come in, or perhaps saunders out wide with someone else in central midfield. It worrying how ineffective jakubiak has been so far that ive barely remember him, and i dont think gaz will start him Hopefully we can find goals from places other than bayo (if he doesnt start) and push on for 3 points
We must almost be back to the team that took us to the relegation zone. Just need O'Nien to get injured and it could be no more wins this season.
And we managed to get 2 (Two) shots on target - against a team whose number of goals conceded is exceeded only by Leyton Orient. Tally Ho
Hardly surprising considering Hayes and Thompson came on 2nd half Let's hope Kashket and Pierre are fit for Leyton Orient away next Saturday or we could lose to their youth team.
Looks like the season is going to peter out again after a great four months between October & January.
We were crap from start to finish had to have an extra pint to numb the senses no chance of a playoff place even though all the rest of the chasing pack are as bad today was painful nearly as bad as Stevenage away
What a poor performance yesterday! It was one of those 'throw the season ticket at the manager' type of games. Usually there is something positive to say, but on this occasion I wished we had stayed put in the pub. As Guy said, it was like Stevenage away all over again, but against a side with far less quality. The back four were just at sixes and sevens and the number of misplaced passes was just so frustrating. Ahh well, off skiing next weekend so I get a reprieve from the torture.
