    "I don't think it's the scoreline we deserved. We concede a poor goal. We should go in 0-0 at half-time - their only real threat was set-pieces at that point.

    "We didn't have enough threat in front of goal so we changed the shape at half-time. I thought we were outstanding second half.

    "We score a perfectly good goal that gets given offside which is onside, which is really frustrating.

    "But I loved the fight, the spirit, the energy - a tough pitch, tough place to come. I can accept it if we have a bad result playing like that, that's a very different feel compared to the last couple of times we have lost.

    "I am proud of the players for that. I am just disappointed for the crowd, who were brilliant today, that we couldn't get the equaliser. They enjoyed watching their team fight so hard."

    Wilder to join Watford as Bilic is sacked
    Slaven Bilic has been sacked by Watford, with Chris Wilder agreeing to take over on a short-term deal for the remainder of the season.

    The final details of the contract are being discussed and could be signed within the next 24 hours.

    Bilic only took charge of 26 games at Vicarage Road after replacing Rob Edwards in September, but leaves having won just one of his last eight fixtures.

    Wilder has been out of work since being sacked by Middlesbrough in October.
