Today's topic is Sunday lunch /dinner.

I can't stand it myself, big effort and lots off mess to clear up. I'd rather do a casserole or a chilli and spend the afternoon chilling than go through all that effort.

Don't even enjoy it

No one needs that much food on a sunday lunch, my family turned it into curry night

 

Love a Sunday roast in the winter months, summer I can take or leave it.

 

Proper not arsed with roast dinners, my wife thinks I’m a heathen for it, as she’s a Yorkie.

 

I was expecting pelters for this but looks like there's not a lot of love for the old Sunday dinner.

no doubt in favour of the most overrated meal in existence

here in Norway they have Tacos on sunday, tacos ffs, horrid.

 

Love a good roast and that feeling of being stuffed. Not sure it would have the same appeal if I had one weekly. Bit like the good English breakfast, to be savoured 3 or 4 times a year.

Sunday roasts are overrated English traditionalist plates of misery.

Never been into em, although I've eaten loads of them in my time I can't think of anything more unexciting to eat tbh.

My old dear makes a proper good mumsy roast dinner.

I count my calorie intake, so it's just too much of a faf on, but if I was not living on my own I'd like to have dinner with the family. It can get quite lonely on your own, so if you can id say do it.

 

You can have dinner with me on zoom at around midnight if you're lonely mate

Agree it shouldn't be nailed on every Sunday, every other week is ample.

Am very definitely stuffed and there's ordinarily too much spud. We're down the in laws and for some reason they do a big pan of boiled potatoes on the side.

Which no one touches.

 

Probably the largest meal I consume, when we do have a roast, but I’m always hungry a couple of hours after and always have a craving for cheese on toast!!

 

Really kind offer, but shouldn't you be wearing a quilt at that time?
