I'm sorry but I thought Ivor and his 25 stones will not allow him to remove his fat a*** from the bench.
Disillusioned with football maybe. If he's wealthy enough already to do something else with his life good luck to him. I wouldn't mind retiring, but I can't afford to.
More than a bit of bodybuilding then. Some ex-celebs and ex-sportspeople get addicted to it. When taken to excess it can be as big a threat to your health as lazing around on the sofa eating junk food for years.
I was just talking about Geoff Capes yesterday- I was at the Highland Games when a bloke called Kevin Young broke one of his records, I think it was throwing the hammer.. Capes achieved an Olympic bronze, without using steroids, at a time when his rivals were, which made him angry and proud at the same time.
This is good news if true. I hope he signs. https://insidefutbol.com/2023/11/13/charlton-athletic-bid-to-lock-down-starlet-on-new-deal/626234/ I think he isn’t far off being ready for the 1st team squad now. I know he’s been in it before and done well, but we were desperate, whereas now he could be an excellent option off the bench with Chuks out. And if it goes well and he progresses then a successful striker is always worth a few million in the future.
I didn't know we'd recalled him. Probably Tedic's anaemic performance against the Millers had something to do with it. We've got another striker coming through Patrick Casey. Keep an eye open for him.
