There's never a time when Mags aren't doing something embarrassing to be fair ... ... currently demanding to see the PM during a crisis that's about to claim 100,000 victims. Imagine how the country would feel if he came on the news and agreed to a meeting with the 'committee'. 10 years of protests have achieved absolutely nothing Somb, just makes people think all Mags are deluded. That times when they asked Brighton supporters to join the protest ... ... a club that almost vanished and had no ground. No wonder they laughed.
Don’t agree with getting politicians or the government involved, especially at this time, but don’t kid yourselves that you’re whiter than white.
I will ask every Sunderland fan on here if they would EVER take the time, trouble and expense of going to a Newcastle away game to sit in the home end wearing Sunderland colours. I will be very surprised if anybody says yes they would.
Thats the one....brilliant. And its not even half time..... I know its not pretty, but zoom in a bit on the blokes face. Its just absolute sheer misery....
No, I wouldn't. Nor would I go to the extent of getting a ticket in the away fans section of the landfill for a mags home game, which a fair few of those have done to attend our home games, going back to Gillingham at Roker in 1987.
We have plenty of idiots mate, can't deny that. The difference seems to be that ours are shouted down wheres yours are at least tolerated but often encouraged. All that stuff about the Saudis investing in the entire NE man, tragic.
As I mentioned, I could put a load of examples of some of your fans “strange” behaviours, but I’ll leave it at that.
Son, If my second team could just grab one before halftime, we've got a chance second half... Son, son. Son?
mags are just starting to go through what we went through for near 10 years...they wont agree with this but i feel the best thing for them would be to get relegated, ashley finally drops his price and sells, then they rebuild, like us, i feel they need a whole restructure top to bottom. we may just be starting that restructure but early signs are that the club is basically laying the foundations for the work needed...the trouble with the mags is they believe they are 'too big and too good' to have to suffer, right now they are clinging onto the keegan years when that ship has not only sailed it has served time as transport only and is now rotting away in some obscure overseas port. obviously this is my opinion and i could be well wrong but mainly, once you stink the top league out without really doing anything then action needs taking or clubs seem to end up with many years in the doldrums (leeds, southampton, coventry et all) far better a couple of seasons in the championship and get back without the high expectations.
Spot on. We are stuck in Donald's legacy of an average 3rd division club. Here's hoping we are about to rebuild for the better
I've no idea why Steve Bruce, pictured in the middle, is laughing ... ... he was managing Sunderland in that game please log in to view this image
I could never understand why anyone would ever think of doing that! I couldn't even bring myself to watch them on tv never mind actually paying for a ticket and sitting there watching them play another team. I had the chance to do that years ago when my relatives came over from Oz and they wanted to go to the football but the only time there was a home game on whilst during the time they were visiting the family was Newcastle v Leeds so all my family went to the game, I went to see Sunderland play Bolton away instead!
