Don't care if people claim I'm obsessed, that's bollocks, no one else seems to want a thread so here's one. I'm interested in the match, will be watching & interested in the new improved Newcastle and how Colback does? City will be under pressure already now that Arsenal & Liverpool have won. Newcastle's form needs to drastically improve after the 2nd half of last season. I can't see many goals tbh but I'll say 2-0 to City.
I've a £5 double on, Ajax have done their bit and my monies on the mags for this match. Just a gut feeling..
Nobody can say keeping tabs on the near neighbours when we ain't playing is obsession mate! I'll be watching with great interest, 1-1 for me.
People do though mate, pretty infantile really though. There are bound to be clubs you have more interest in than others .......... Newcastle have been our rivals for over 100 years. It looks like the Newcastle injuries means Colback will start. I reckon he'll get a big cheer when his name is read out, the Mags won't want to look bitter after he shushed them.
He's nee Rodwell like. Nee Gomez. Nee Seb... He is ginger, ugly & Geordie though, so he's home both in birth right, and in terms of the worlds true balance.
Can't understand it me like..Thought the place would have been buzzing today, start of the season and all that, yet it's been like a morgue.. Waited for weeks and weeks, passing the time with random threads, then the place has just died today.....baffled. Anyhow, i fully expect City to win, fairly well. They won't mess up from the start, Chelsea are gonna be after them all season.
Just been bombarded with texts from mags, what have i missed, did quinny say colback has gone onto a bigger club?
As usual Quinn proves his Irishness ......... he does come out with some ****e and then backtracks. He was trying to say that he's playing for his 'home town club' but, to be fair, Newcastle finished higher than us last time. Dunno if they're better though, we batter them every time
Newcastle can never seem to beat City whereas we seem to do it quite easily BTW, why do the Newcastle players haircuts look like it's 11 lads on a themed stag weekend in Benidorm? My feeling here is that Newcastle will run around like headless chickens on speed and give the ball away too much. Riviere is a typical example.
It's true mate although he'll try to blarney his way out of it ...... poor pundit is Quinn. He tries too hard to be a 'Shearer' and be fair to Newcastle.
