I missed his versatility yesterday, head scratching in case we got and injury at the back, quite easily cover both LB and RB aswell as his preferred position on CM, which in all honesty he would not get in ahead of catts, rodwell or even bridcutt, so would also have been a deciding factor in leaving if gus could not gurantee him 1st team footy in CM. I hold no grudges against Jack, saw his interview midweek in the open training session thingy and you could not argue with it, boyhood club comes in and you cant be guaranteed 1st team where you are, you go, simples (totally dismissing the hammers thing like)
He's a quality player mate, remember he joined last year and got an injury, set him back. He was immense for Fiorentina, and I'd expect him to be strong this season.
Dunno, de Jong?, just going on what the Mags said about him just being a squad player ......... didn't realise he was the main man.
Newcastle look a little weak physically, may be new players adapting. I think Colback is having a canny game.
It's the opening game of a new season, at home, and Newcastle have presumably raised their game against the Champions. After 87 minutes they still haven't had a shot on target ........... yet the pundits will claim Newcastle were worth a draw.
Fair do's. City dropped off when he came off and were in danger of blowing this one. Fortunately little Sergio saves the day for them. Mags have been ok, plenty pressure but not much quality. How come a squad player has taken all their free-kicks?
Great start to the week. England win the cricket, GB top the athletics table and the mags are bottom on st oswalds day! (Patron saint of trophies) Faking great. And I nearly got a wonga loan. Now for a couple of weeks in the med and hopefully sunderland to sign three players before I find my next internet connection.
