Does anyone know for sure who is Maja's agent,or is it guess work. Whatever happens in the future this agent should be given the widest possible berth, ignorant cnut that they are.
On the podcast there's a bit where Donald says he hasn't had a single offer for Maja - but he has had clubs contacting him saying they've been asked if they want to sign him (by his agent)!
Yep He clearly wants Maja to move on, and is lying and not attending meetings in order to achieve this. The good thing for SAFC is that there is still direct dialogue between SAFC and Maja
Maybe the agent is doing us a favour . If word gets round about what he’s doing , maybe no one will look at Maja because they don’t want to be involved with an agent like that now , nor want to know that eventually he’ d be causing problems by telling the player to move on again
I think he's not being specific about an actual deadline on purpose..... we just gotta wait and see what happens
Stuart Donald's comments on the podcast about academy contracts were very interesting. We give them a 3 yr deal, and the impact of this is that they are just beginning to break through when they enter the final year of their deal. Mental
Max you can give for a first pro contract is 3 years sadly. Problem here is the fa with old fashioned rules which. Doesn't protect clubs from modern day greed. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
If people want out take the best offer and move on, look at the Kone debacle. GREED is the right word Bri.
But contractually there should be more protection. At least that way clubs get a decent fee from said greed, reward for years and years of nurturing and money spent doing that. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
At least, in a strange twist of fate, we are getting some value from the lad this season! Small mercies.
That's interesting - I didn't know that. But what SD was saying was along the lines of giving them the 3 year deal with trigger clauses involving contract extensions and pay rises in the event of X amount of first team appearances. Dunno if this breaches the FA rules?
Read somewhere that Palace will be watching the game against Luton this weekend to see how he gets on.
SD's idea sounded like a rolling contract (for two years initially) updated yearly with extensions and payments tied in to performance, thus avoiding the final year scenario we are having with Maja. Sounds like common sense to me, but we will have to wait and see if he can achieve it, with the FA involved I wish him well.
Oh I never said that, and we certainly ain’t getting that, you’re bang on there. At least it’s some return though.
