Tough one this, no-one stood out (in a good way...),

Niasse, worked really hard as a lone front man, could have had an equaliser with a bit more luck
    Rannochia, scored a goal
    Jakupovic, kept the score respectable.

    Jak.
    Rannochia
    Niasse.

Difficult to choose that one. Only Jak was definite for me.

    Jak
    N'Diaye
    Rannochia

Could have been much closer, Niasse really should have scored and Elmo / Dawson should have kept their second goal out. Although they outclassed us in general they didn't seem to have the discipline or coherence our lads did so not such a bad day at the office. As for our goal difference we really shouldn't have to rely on this to stay up so I agree with Silva's (apparent) philosophy = **** it, go for the win every game from now on.

But if that's what made the difference I'd take it. Rannochia's 'consolation' goal could be a clincher.

Jak kept it from being a thrashing.
    Ranocchia scored.
Situation vacant. (Elmo/Daws need not apply.)

City looked a bit lethargic throughout - probably a reaction to the last two games.

    Grosicki I guess.

Bit of a lagged performance, hopefully a day or so rest will get them sorted out and we can get at Stoke on Saturday, a notoriously hard place to go.

We weren't at the races, but then they didn't allow us to play.

Jak - made some saves which is more than their keeper did.

Naisse - a presence. Not a particularly effective one, but a presence nonetheless.

N'Diaye - turned up, played the game, went home.

Grosicki was appalling, Markovic caused them problems first half, but then looked like he couldn't be arsed in the second.

Interesting, I listened on Farve Larve and they kept saying how good Grosicki was.

Flatters to deceive, kept getting past Navas (who isn't a right back), but wasted the cross or took a shot that hit row Z. He can't head a ball, he can't get a shot on target and he offered Robbo no protection at all. Very disappointing after two good home performances.

Same old with Grosicki. Gets you up the field... does nothing of benefit.

    Top 3

    Jak
    Niasse
    Ranocchia

    Bottom 3

    Elmo
    Dawson
    Grosicki

It's not about tearing anyone apart, the ability to head a ball and get a shot on target are fairly fundamental for a footballer. If he could shoot, he'd have three or four goals by now.

So he he'd have four goals in nine games!! Kinell he'd have 16 goals if he'd been here since August!!
That's more like it. I shall expect nothing less from him next season.<ok>

Or we gave them the ball after having had a reasonably good start in the game?

Mebbe, but they were all over us. We gave the ball away cos they got so tight and harried us into making errors. Then they are so good in possession. David Silva is the heartbeat of that team. He's one of the best footballers I've ever seen.
