Spurs is by far the hardest game but all 7 can get a result if they raise it and we or city are not on it. There's so many games in a row that I just see mental fatigue as much as anything.
Thing is someone isn’t offside until gets to them no though. The cross in first half that Robbo got a touch on to take away from sterling. Sterling was offside which forced Robbo to try get a touch but because sterling never touched it, despite him being offside forcing Robbo to play it, it’s not classed as offside. same as when someone passed it to Jota who was offside and stones tackled the ball but still went through, cos stones played it it made Jota onside. He then proceeded to just whack the ball up in the air with no one around him cos he obv assumed he was miles off.
Think have to assume both teams gonna win all their home games. then you look at the away games and city probably look a bit harder. West Ham, Leeds and wolves. compared to Newcastle, villa and saints. The later two taking hammerings are home this weekend.
GAMES TO GO: Manchester City. 20 April Brighton (Home) 23 April Watford (home) 30 April Leeds (Away) 8 May Newcastle (Home) 15 May West Ham (Away} 22 May Aston Villa (Home) Liverpool 19 April Manchester United (Home) 24 April Everton (Home) 30 April Newcastle (Away) 7 May Tottenham (Home) 10 May Aston Villa (Away) 15 May Southampton (Away) 22 May Wolves (Home)
Leeds away has become a very different game but if I were to rate these games on a scale of 1 to 5 on difficultly man city have no game above a 3. One city game v wolves is missing though. That is the 3 the others barely rate a 3 at times. I would say the only thing we have going for us now is the harder games are all at home.
The one I was referring to went straight to that player but the lino kept the flag down because "it was close and they're not discord to flag".
Very much conflicting emotions over the match, absolutely ****ing furious with the first half display, simple things not done, poor all round with special mention for fabinho who out of an absolute **** show managed to be the worst. Happy we got out of there with a point, when we coukd have been dead and buried by half time. Disappointed that we didn't do more, we had the opportunities to score, to put them under pressure and they just where not taken. Despite others opinion I thought mane was the best out of the front 3 today, tried to hold it up, tried to make something happen. Jota was, well jota not much but will score goals. Salah, oh mo what has happened to you. Thisgo was excellent, Henderson was OK fab was ****e. Defensively we looked like panicked school kids, second half slightly better but not good enough.
The defence was shaky because they're rarely subjected to sustained, quality pressure. Something they need to learn to deal with. Great pass from Mo to that bloke he never passes to, but his game has really gone off the boil since AFCON.
Yeah Mo not best game but didn't he get two assists?. We weren't at out best and got a result away agains Citeh, so maybe the saying rather be lucky than good counts for something. We should have been dead and buried at half time.
Depends on those home games. Wolves and west ham will be away for city and will be maybe half in hunt for Europe. However lfc home games have massive games like utd, spurs, wolves and neverton. Those are cup finals with teams having things on the line. We need to put the cups away first and then raise our remaining forces for utd. Any win puts pressure on
Why is Guardiola going on in interviews that he doesn’t know whether Klopp respects him. So Klopp putting in print when interviewed that he regards Pep as the best manager in the world didn’t happen then? My other half can’t stand Guardiola, thinks he a right dislikeable arrogant twat
Agree with most of this although I'd credit Man City for their pressing for us being so poor in the first half, they targeted Fabinho too imo. Mane definitely best of the front three imo
