Manure Red Empire v Forest of New Rebels



Saturday 30th December 2017
Kick Off: 5:30pm
Venue: Maureen's Football Death Star


In a Galaxy far, far away the Manure Red Empire used to rule the universe
Then some Ewok Bumpkins from the Forest of New destroyed their attack ships at Planet Wembley to Rebellion cries of "Yellow and Blue versus Manchester who?" to lift the FA Cup thanks to padawan Stokes' trusty left wand
Over the following decades the Empire re-grouped under Emporer Fergie as they marauded through the Premier and European galaxies on their rise back to power as they terrorised footballing worlds, helped by the formation of the Evil Lords of the Premier League
For 27 years the rebels from the New Forest struggled to invade the empire's old Trafford fortress until Emporer Fergie had passed onto another galaxy. Then the Manure leaders chose Jabba van Hut as their new Lord and noisy neighbouring planets began to overcome the red empire. The Ewoks from the Forest of New chose their attack timing well and lead by the deceiving Lando Koeman, General Han Austin stepped from the St Mary's Cantina to head the Ewoks to victory over the Empire for the second year running.
The Empire were forced to turn to the most Evil of football masters and joined forces with Daft Maureen Vader and desert their Planet of Dreams and rebuild a cold, dark, negative, do not get beat, anti-footballing Death Star. Now the rebels, surprised by the appointment of C3PellegrinO, must enter this negative Football Death Star in an attempt to save their season...




The Rebels will be without General Austin and will ned to use at least 2 X Wing Fighters to break down the Manure Empire's defence (although hopefully not Red mond, but preferably Bloufal with Jar Jar Gabbiadini up front to bury a left Light sabered finsih into the bottom corner). They are likely to be without CedricD2.


Forest of New (Temporary) Manager, C3PellegrinO is confident his new plan will work.

Great thread FLT. All match threads that come after this will be pale imitations, forever trying to scale the heights this one has achieved.

 

All we need is for the players to read this thread and the rebellion will be fired into a new era of light and passion.

 

I have never liked a thread, or so many comments in a thread, so much.

Give that Palace is the more important game of the next two, and based on what MP has done to date, I firmly expect him to put out a strong team for this one and then rest players against Palace.

 

May be logical, but I think we need every point we can get and do the team need another tonking from a confidence point of view.
