Nice one Matth, just the right amount of information. I expect this thread to get you back on a winning streak in the PL
Kane out. Every little helps, can't lie that this is a plus. Otherwise, to quote a wise old head, "It's ****ing Tottenham lads".
Can't make it tomorrow, my parents are visiting... what great timing. May end up a good thing. I predict a 0-0 bore.
If we don't confront Spurs and attack them at OT today then I give up on JM. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the RS but no excuses to be frightened or cautious at home if we want to be champions.
Interesting side, three centre halves with Young and Valencia as wing backs. Mhkitaryan needs to step up, he needs a big game, in a big game. Looks a good side, I expect us to win because I expect us to win every time, has to be so.
I expect Herrera to step up too, he hasn't had anything like the same impact in midfield this season.
Don't mean for this to come across as a wum but five at the back against Kane-less Spurs? I sort of get the logic in matching their formation but United at home should be making the other team adapt to them.
A bit surprised too. But we'll have to wait and see, this team can easily be transformed into a 433 by young staying in midfield and jones to RB. I can see JM wanting to start cautiously and becoming more attacking as we go further into the match. A match that JM has to win. A draw will be acceptable to Spurs but not to United
Indeed. You'll probably still nick it but it surprised me given they're a bit vulnerable without Kane. Can't see Mourinho risking Jones at RB given how much Spurs attack down that side.
Jones losing balls easily with his stupid clearances Mkhitaryan invisible again facing big sides .. he is playing in his preferred position as AMC yet his movements are bad
Three centre backs seems more to counter Alli and Eriksen pushing into the hole. Leave two to mark Son and Sissoko whilst one steps out. Valencia and Young are attacking more than defending right now - if anything we are playing three at the back rather than four. No point having dedicated full backs when Spurs aren't really playing with wingers. And it means we can finally pair Rashford and Lukaku up front.
spurs have an additional man in the mid , is easy for them , every time they clear the ball, just send it to the mid and they can easily keep the ball , Mkhitaryan need to go back more and help
they operate centrally .. we need more midfielders not more defenders, 4 at back and Matic and herrera to close the gap in mid look more logical
