FT. 0-1. Thank god that’s over. The less said about the performance, the better. But an important win. It’s the first time we’ve completed a league double over Man Utd since 2007. Our record against the traditional big six this season has been superb. I expected better from us and wanted a couple more goals, but oh well. At least we’ve taken it to the final day. That’s all we can do. For Tuesday only, COYS!
Honestly, I think West Ham are more likely to nick a point from City than Spurs for two reasons: 1. Spurs are a bunch of ****ers 2. Spurs are **** Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.
If City draw against spurs, and GD is going to actually come into it, then City will have to win by 3 more goals than we do on the final day which isn't actually out the question given how **** west ham are. I think that's worst case gut punch scenario. Spurs nick a point to really get our hopes up and we go into final game top for once. Then City smash West Ham about 8-0 and win the league.
I'm expecting members of this board to change their avatars on Tuesday night in a show of solidarity. Suggested image below.
This was something I’d noticed too. Partey wasn’t engaging in 50-50s and wasn’t anticipating effectively. He got bypassed too easily and was relying on Rice/Odegaard running back or Gabriel/Saliba’s dominant penalty box defending to bail him out of transitional situations. I’ve already made my stance on him clear enough several times, but this is further evidence for us to sell him in the Summer. He’s looking physically past it.
I think you're right. If Villa beat Liverpool we'll have less than nothing to play for. We could even witness the bizarre spectacle of home fans cheering the away team's goals. But Villa losing or even drawing opens up and intriguing scenario. Their final game is in theory far harder than ours. If we beat City I'd even make us favourites for top 4, incredible really considering how long Villa have been up there. But all this is academic. We've been awful of late and have key players out injured. Tuesday night could be a basketball score.
He's always had an issue with being caught on the ball - but that does seem to be happening more often. Cant say I noticed any decline in pace though - just a bit careless at times.
There were times in that second half where it looked like he was running in treacle. He just seems so off the pace. I feel like we need to move past him.
Considering he didn't get convicted and the police have dropped the charges ages ago, this isn't true at all. He's just not good enough anymore. (Just FYI - I saw the evidence at the time all those details got leaked on social media, and as much as I hate he's still associated with the club, the fact remains this case got dismissed a while back).
