Ole: "Hi boss! You think you'll be at training monday?" Harry "dno m8" Ole: "Thanks for the swift reply boss! See how you feel, cheers mate."
Harry - Hi Gazza, all I said was Do you know who I am. I am the captain of Man Utd, and I am very rich. gazza - cool thanks for the facts your in. Harry - I’ve been found guilty gazza - cool thanks for lying your out
He's as innocent as Stevie G was. For now. Should be interesting in a full, criminal trial to see how they support the date rape attempt on his sister with any source of evidence. After all, apparently she never mentioned it at all when interviewed three times by the police. Hmm. I wonder if a local witness will miraculously appear who saw the evil Albanians filling the syringe with Rohypnol, talking about how they would rape her comatose body, and how they would sing City songs to disguise their true identity. And some time after giving evidence, how this witness suddenly acquires a new house and car. Now, I wonder who'd have such money and influence?
The best part about all this is it's going to cost Maguire a tidy sum in legal fees. An expensive family holiday, especially if a trial don't find in his favour. United paying £80M for this twat, just demonstrates how insane football has become. He was plying his trade against the likes of Gillingham, five years before joining Man U, he even managed to find the back of his own net. I've never seen anything from him that makes me say he was even worth a quarter of the figure paid for him, he certainly seems to be short of brains, when it came to dealing with Greek police, but then again, you don't need brains to stand around like a square head. Some will not like this
Witnesses to Albanians, Syringes and rape would be a bit futile mate. The crimes he has been charged (and initially convicted of) are multiple assaults on police officers and multiple bribe attempts of the same. The appeal goes to a higher court where actual evidence will be required.
So the cops say Maguire attacked them and tried to bribe them, what is Maguires defence? To say "I didn't do it, and as a British subject that should be enough for you foreign scum"?
Aye almost as good as claiming "I thought he was going to hit me so punched him repeatedly in self defence." but hey, that load of bollox proved successful so there's hope for Harry.
'Oh, and we forgot to say, we were defending ourselves against an evil conspiracy to drug and rape my sister. In fact, we were defending ourselves against an evil conspiracy to drug and rape my sister by Albanians dressed as Greek police. And we forgot as well, initially, that there were thirty eight witnesses who all saw this, and they also forgot to say anything until they were reminded to say they'd witnessed anything until United's solicitor visited the resort to 'obtain evidence''.
To be clear, Diego's line Is what my question is about. We kind of know what the cops will say so what is Maguire's response to counter it?
But it did prove successful. As in innocent, despite most opposing fans at the time wanting him to go straight to jail without trial. Now those same fans want to quote that a person is innocent until proved guilty. Or innocent until proved guilty, then retried until they get the version of innocent, as in this case.
I've not read much about the details except that he's questioned the honesty of the police. That's about the sum total of his defence imo. And hope that the best lawyer money can buy will be able to convince this to an appeal court. He should've just gone in, taken the night in the cell and slap on the wrist. Wouldn't have made good press but wouldn't be the **** show it is now.
That he assaulted police and tried to bribe them? The police said he did. Usually, when faced with that and witnesses to back up the allegation, the onus of proof is on the defendant to prove the police are lying. Yes, innocence until guilt is proven, but also true that evidence presented to the court has to be accepted as true unless there is evidence to refute it: such as asking why it wasn't presented at all in the first trial, in the case of Taken conspiracies.
