Just want to balance our my knee jerk ‘Martin out’ thread from the start of the season. No matter what happens at Wembley I think he deserves more time whatever league we are in. Hes certainly learning on the job... but he is a fantastic bloke and has given us a team to be proud of again. Thanks Russ
Errr … I think you called us Shirley Maybe we are Shirley … and not Shirley Surely someone on here is Shirley?
I’m back on the fence. I backed him to stay for most of the season, then flipped when we were going through the bad patch that stopped us getting into the auto places. Then he showed us that he DID have a plan B with the performance at Leeds. My concern is this. His style of play works against most teams that aren’t as good as us, unless they go full on, in our face pressing. Most of the teams in the premier league won’t be worse than us, plus the two teams that finished in the automatic promotion places did the double over us. If we get there I would back him but if we are getting turned over every week, I would expect the board to be ready to move him on.
Yeah I get that, but not sure how you’re applying it here. Are you saying Martin has already been promoted as high as he will get?
It was Godders, not me. I assume he means that the PL is one level above Martin’s competence. Even if that’s true, it doesn’t matter, as in Nigel Adkin’s case.
