This is my first ever Matchday thread so please be gentle. Saints take on Wet Sham at away on Sunday 23 May at 4pm. Last game of the season before we all get bored for a couple of months and starting silly threads to pass the time. Lincoln Saint will be nice and calm from Monday onwards at least until August. Chilcs may have his work cut out keeping us all in order. Anyway enjoy COYS
Mustn't cheese Chilcs off with silly season threads or perhaps he won't give an edamn. Lincs has the transfer thread to post his odes of joy on and we can all enjoy the sunlit uplands of the brave new normal. COYR!
Next season, it would be lovely if the thread titles hinted at who we were playing, but thanks for this one Marv!
Sunday 23rd May 2021 16:00 KO West Ham United v Southampton Referee: Martin Atkinson. Assistants: Constantine Hatzidakis, James Mainwaring. Fourth official: Matt Donohue. VAR: Craig Pawson. Assistant VAR: Peter Kirkup.
Thought you were saying Andrew and George were a pair of Mary’s for a second there. Which, of course would not be appropriate, so apologies
We could give the impression that we are by just keeping them at bay for 70 mins instead of high press etc, then click into our normal first half form and take the game? Probably not the best idea though.
I'm sure there's no truth in the rumour that the players requested an away match vs West Ham for the last day of the season, so that they could all go straight to London City Airport, and use their private charter to jet out to Mustique...
I just hummed 'The Saint' noise and then blurted out: "if you're a pub man, or a club man, maybe a jet black guy with a hip hifi, a white cool cat with a trilby hat, maybe leather and studs is where you're at. Make the most of every day, don't let hard times stand in your way. Give a Wham give a Bam but don't give a damn cos the benefit gang are going to pay!" Don't know why.

So the final hurdle approaches in this marathon season. Fielding the strongest 11, SFC need to stay on track to win this oñe. Start off at a steady pace and then storm away with a fast finish. We are missing Long for his jump, though. If we don't win, some could be in for the high jump afterwards. Whatever the result, Bertie could do a lap of honour as a final farewell as a Saint.
