Id like mata at city but i doubt they would sell to a rival which should leave the path clear for utd to do business with them

He would be a good signing but do Utd have the clout to spend 40 million on one player when it would seem that they need 3 or 4 players?

If Moyes has a big budget then fine, if not he needs to be very careful.

United deny that an offer has been made for Mata... as yet. An offer will be made though

If they ask Everton in a cap in hand humble manner they might get their money back from the Fellaini deal to put towards Mata.

    ----------RVP-------------
    Mata----Rooney----Kagawa

The 3 of them can swap and change, no fixed position behind RvP and against easier sides stick RVP and Rooney up top with Mata, Kagawa or Januzaj in behind.

We will have to play a narrower game. 3 AM types behind, Rooney and Mata can play the second striker as and when needed. All 3 can play from the left. Januzaj/Nani offer a similar sort of player capable from the right.

Gives us plenty of options and one hell of an attack.

Theres also a chance Kagawa could be used in a deal for Gundogan.

If you get Mata then Rooney will go IMO.

Rooney is less likely to go if we sign the best player from Chelsea.

I feel sorry for your full backs! Mata won't track back, neither will kagawa.

Funnily enough Januzaj doesnt either and Valencia/Young are f**king ****e at defending despite apparently being 'defensive wingers' whatever the f**k the are.

It simply wont matter ( or is that Mata? )

I dont think any of the following are aware of what defending is, Messi, Ronaldo,. Ribery, Robben, Pedro, Sanchez and even Bale amongst others.

doesnt seem to be much of a problem. We wouldnt need to defend with an attack like that :D

All of those players put shifts in defensively, Ribery and Robben were a major part of Bayern getting the ball back last season - up and down that wing like a yoyo!

Must be the worst defensive shifts ever. Some of those players never track back.

Anyway, offence is the best form of defence an all that. No need to defend if the attacking threat is so great. I think the players above fit into that catagory.

But they do <laugh>. The way Barca play without the ball requires all players to work as fast as possible to get it back, Messi/Sanchez/Pedro all press opposition. Ronaldo and Bale are arguably the only ones.

Kagawa presses. Infact hes one of the only ones in our squad who does. Probably because hes not brought up on old school english football ****e.
