If they get a quorum, is it a simple majority (>50%) or is there anything in the small print material that stipulates the need for e.g. a 2/3 rds majority ?
In these bizarre times it seems almost worthless to point out new additions to the list of weird decisions the club have made. But even in this climate it's baffling that the club have insisted on an excessively strict minimum turnout for the vote to have any meaning, a vote which the club itself chose to hold, and is now putting so much effort into trying to encourage people to vote so that it meets their arbitrary minimum. They're basically fighting against themselves while the supporters are stood to one side just waiting to see how it plays out, and wondering why it's been made so much more complex than it needs to be.
No-one tells him how to run his business, so he asks the irrelevant fans who can die when they want, to tell him how they'd like him to run his business- you really couldn't make it up
Just decided on a whim to try voting, quoting a customer number I had from several years back, and was told my vote (for Option B ) had been counted. If this is true, might be an opportunity for others who have stopped going or stopped being members to vote as well? Has this been discussed before?
.... yet they reckon they know 35% have voted? Just the latest from "our' club that smacks of shambles and deceit.
Totally cannot be arsed with them. I recall boy blunder categorically stating in one of his staged interviews that concessions would NEVER return whilst he was involved with the club, and I truly believe the **** meant it. **** it, he’s not playing me, he can shove his vote where the sun don’t shine!
I don't have a membership card but ive just used my online ticketing number to vote and says accepted
You can type in any number you like, it will say it’s accepted, but they’re deleting anything that’s not a current members number, so you’re wasting your time.
Sadly true as it accepted my old booking reference number and my old membership number (though to be rejected later?) # though cunningly it won't accept Allam Out ! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ticketmodelvote
I've voted twice, once when I got the first email, and again when they emailed to say there was still time to vote. As transparent as the Humber! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I haven't voted yet. Another 5% equals roughly 400 more votes, so could be crucial. I would prefer this ballot again be discredited (by not reaching the 40%) rather than an empathic victory for option A an having to hear Allams saying they have consulted and we chose not to reintroduce the concessions. They are clearly desperate to achieve the 40%, which tells us option A is a definite winner. If they want me to vote, I just automatically think I shouldn't.
Anyone who cancelled during the last month of the season can still vote because of the two months notice they have to give.
If they want option A so badly they could just go ahead and do it. No need to validate it with a vote. At this point I think it's almost impossible to second guess their intentions. I think the reality is the club themselves don't know what they want to do and are just lurching from one thing to another. I think stuff like this vote will be the result of certain staff members at the club pushing for one thing, Ehab pushing back against it and the end result being some sort of compromise where Ehab is satisfied that he has won.
