Given how **** we have been this season, I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

Of course, if we wait until the end of the transfer window, which we will, it will be a bad thing.

I think if, in the summer, instead of loaning players who don’t give two ****s we had permanently signed 3 defenders with a mix of youth and experience- say a defender in the Seb mould - then we’d have been top 6 all season. There’s nothing wrong with our goalkeeper or the front 6.

Think it's been clear Meyler has been unhappy with something behind the scenes. Must be gutting when a player desperately wants to stay here but the owners don't want him.

These are the stats from our last season in the championship. When our owners forced out our best ever manager.

    City league record so far
    P 41 W 21 D 10 L 10 F 56 A 29 Pts 73 Win ratio 51.22% Goals per game 1.366, points per game 1.780

    Without Meyler
    P 16 W 3 D 7 L 6 F 17 A 17 Pts 16
Win ratio 18.75% Goals per game 1.063, points per game 1.000

With Meyler (all games, including sub appearances)
    P 25 W 18 D 3 L 4 F 39 A 12 Pts 57
Win ratio 72.00% Goals per game 1.560, points per game 2.280

If you think any team can afford to omit a player whose presence (if nothing else) quadruples the win ratio, adds half a goal per game, and more than doubles the points per game, I'm happy for you to consider me mad. Oh, he won against Germany too.

The destruction of our best ever team, greatest ever manager, and most successful time in our history is almost complete.

I read your post quickly whilst I was at lunch and read it as Myeler had personally showed you tweets. After your helpful reply and now with more time to analyse it I can see you mean you were shown tweets that Myeler had made as you don't have a twitter account to be able to see them for yourself. I was not taking the piss or being smug.

Edited as I have now seen your other reply. Yes I have seen his tweets, always says it as it is which goes down well with the supporters but not those in management.

Re Seb didn't he say somewhere that he was looking to go back home to finish his career and definitely would not be staying with us.

living in the past mate - this season shows the exact opposite when he's on the pitch - i've already listed them for you earlier in the season and there's a massive difference in results when he's not playing - I agree he's been a good servant for the club but he's been awful this season - time for him to move on and time for you to move on

Except you lied about it. So well done.

You must be the only happy person on here. Got rid of Steve Bruce. got rid of Alex Bruce. Now getting rid of Meyler.
You and Ehab. Couple of genius's.

Steve Bruce got us relegated with the 7th highest spend in the PL - Junior is warming the bench in League 1 and Meyler has been **** all season

last 12 games - no meyler played 7, won 4, drew 2 lost 1 - with meyler, played 5 drew 1 lost 4 - I can go further back but cant be arsed - last time we won with Meyler he scored a screamer in his own net

you use genii instead of geniuses when you don't want to be easily understood. "Genii" has unfortunate collisions with the plural of "genie" (itself a form of the Arabic jinn, an evil spirit) and of the Roman genius, a guardian spirit. Stick with "geniuses."

    hope that helps

I don't know about others, but what I find distasteful is the way it appears to have been done. IMO David Meyler probably also feels getting out of the club that is toxic and getting a new start somewhere might not be a bad thing. He certainly has not been at his best of late, and a new start might be just what he needs. The process just seems to have been handled in the typical Allams way, lack of respect for a player that has been a wonderful servant to club, and on the whole a good player for us.

    so hull city
    loses hernandez and meyler
    for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
because they can't make contract meetings
league 1 is an inevitably this year or next
let's do it this year. why delay the inevitable

    hernandez would dominate this division
let's let him go for free though, makes sense

let's let them go for free.

And there I suspect you may well have hit the nail on the head. The Allams may say we brought you Bruce, gave him a teams that succeeded, we now leave you as we found you. All his players gone as well as him.

and our stats in the championship when diomande starts

we win 87% of championship games diomande starts.
    0 losses

the man is an influential king ping, we do not lose when diomande starts
no matter how much you judge him chazz
meyler is a great player, but he's been abhorrent this season

but dio has always given his best
dio stats just can't be beaten
shame he get's ridiculed on this forum

he's a loyal city player who gives his all and when he gives his all we don't lose

it's honestly disgusting how much he is mocked on this forum, he's a player who gives his all, of course he's not eden hazard
diomande is just what this club needs, we are a team struggling to stay in the ****ing championship
1 pt above barnsley and people expect us to destroy them, it just does not happen at this level, we are all ****, it's about that chance on the day, the last 12 games of the season is about surviving
we are not the team that beats liverpool, or almost knocks out man utd in the league cup semi final

we are a team battling for survival with barnsley, burton, birmingham and sunderland

and nigel is obviously reading my messages about dio, he is instrumental to how the team plays
groshitski came on against barnsley and did less than mcgregor.

back when dio couldn't make the team, we had snodgrass, diame, hernandez, huddlestone
    livermore

    so i'm right or?

    what?

or do you ridicule dio just how others ridicule meyler ?

    72% just can't compare to 87%
meyler is a washed up fifa player these days
nigel can't even put him on his subs he's that useless

no wonder we got relegated under bruce with meyler playing
    bruce signed snodgrass.. again.
    huddlestone went derby
    davies went derby
    livermore went wba
meyler went nowhere cause he's the most average player in football history? fact

    No he didn’t.

I’ll await you showing me exactly how the squad assembled under Bruce was the 7th most expensive in total cost of all the squads in the Premier League the season we got relegated.
