Just like to place on record my gratitude to Mike Ashley .

14 years of zero success, brilliant Mike, what a guy. You promised them nothing and delivered nothing.

You gave us unbelievable moments such as appointing Little Denis Wise above Keegan. Giving them the Messiah Shearer for 10 Games then taking him away. Reducing them to celebrating a Derby draw like a World Cup win and who could forget 6 in a row. I could go on and on.

Not all of the North East wanted you to leave, you will be missed and thanks for the memories.

Problem with this is he’s now gone and they are the richest club in the world.

    Kinda kills the vibe <laugh>

I have a horrible vision of him sitting in his pants in his mansion, surrounded by wads of cash, laughing at all this

Sorry can't forgive him for buying them in the first place especially when they were so close to going bust at the time

they are moaning yet they played in the champions league and europe years ago. We should have been bought 4 years ago and not be in the mess we are in now.

problem is, due to those few years when they won nowt they now expect it season after season but this time hoping to get a bit of silverware in there as well.

also, 4 years ago, our price was probably too much for a club with little recent history, unfortunately we had to hit near rock bottom in order to grow again.

Are they though? This narrative is a curious one. The guy who is part of the consortium buying the club is alleged to have hundreds of billions of pounds (or at least is said to be worth that much). That doesn't automatically mean the club now has hundreds of billions of money in it's accounts

Very true, Stoke’s owner is worth nearly £10 billion, but you never hear about Stoke being one of the richest clubs in the country.
