    If we finish mid table, I can't see him losing the position, and the way he has the team playing who's to say that we won't finish around there. Hoping for a positive result tomorrow night ( Australia time ) live on free to air telly here, and I will be recording it

    I think the twelve years as Ferguson's assistant is a better qualification than many of the managers appointed by PL clubs, especially as regards foreign managers with no knowledge of the PL. Obviously there are exceptions but as a general rule.

    It certainly sounds as if money is an issue, as with his interview with Matt Dean he said something like "the contract needs to reflect that it is a premier league job we are not in the championship".

    The Allams think Phelan will get us relegated, so offer him a Championship salary?
    So get rid, appoint a PL manager and pay him a PL salary then
    But to appoint a Championship manager on a Championship salary is planning to fail.
    Just when you think the Allams have finally stopped making ****s of themselves, they step up to the plate and remind us they're still here, still alienating people, still making bad decisions as if they think it shows their 'shrewdness'

    Utter tools of the highest order.
